The electrical cross arm, also known as power pole cross arms, utility pole cross arms, telephone pole cross arms, or simply crossarms, is named according to its application. Different configurations of the electrical cross arm are used in various setups.

For example, power pole cross arms are connected to pin insulators using insulator pins, enabling power delivery through the connection between the insulator and the wire. Light pole cross arms are specifically designed to support streetlight power on light poles.

The electrical cross arm is attached to the utility pole using double arming bolts, pigtail bolts, or U bolts. Cross arm braces are used to provide additional support and prevent the line from dropping off.

The main manufacturing process for electrical cross arms is pressing, ensuring that all holes are pressed in one operation without any burrs. The holes on the cross arm are used to connect other pole line hardware.

All bolt holes on the cross arm are designed to be compatible with each other, allowing a gauge 2 mm smaller than the bolt diameter to pass freely through the assembled pole line hardware fitting at a right angle.
