The alley arm, also known as the side arm or alley arm brace, is a complex type of steel cross arm widely used on overhead lines, utility poles, power poles, and light poles.
Installed with the off-side steel cross arm and the pole in a triangular shape, the alley arm provides firm support for the off-side steel cross arm. It can be installed on either the left or right side of the power pole cross arm.
Both ends of the alley arm angles are closed, with the 90-degree angle becoming zero angles and the closed side bent to another angle for easy connection with the off-center steel cross arm. A lineman step is located in the middle of the alley arm to prevent slipping during installation.
The raw material for the alley arm is selected according to BS4360 standard, with angel steel available in 60, 84, and 120'' lengths. All raw materials are straight and free from blisters, scale, and other defects before and after fabrication.
